| Rural Homeland: Southern
Sudan is dotted with gentle hills, and is nourished by
the Nile River. The UN estimates that if peace holds and
the region is developed, Southern Sudan could produce enough
grain to feed the entire Middle East. Because of the war,
most of the population find it hard to feed their families. |
