Lahash is pleased to announce our newest sponsorship program - offering essential care and support for Sudanese Orphans at Amazing Grace Orphanage and St. Bartholomew's Orphanage. Please choose a child from the list below, download the sponsorship form, and send it into the Lahash office. You'll then receive a photo of your child and full sponsorship details. You'll also recieve letters from your child several times each year.

Morris Taban

Parents: Both parents passed away. The mother died of an outbreak of a disease, which infected her respiratory system. When she died, Morris was only three days old. The father was traumatized and committed suicide, leaving all the children alone. They were abandoned and left at one of the refugee health care centers. After that IWASSRU took them to amazing grace orphanage.

Parents: Her father was murdered a few years ago. Piting and her siblings where left with their mother who later got married to a Ugandan man. Life became hard for Piting and her siblings because their stepfather was not willing to support them. He refused to pay their school fees and even giving them food. This situation caused Pitings brother to become a street boy in Kampala surviving on wild rats. Unfortunatly one day her brother mistook a snake hole for a rat hole and his hand was bitten by a snake, he was taken to the hospital and his hand was amputated. However Piting was taken to Amazing Grace Orphanage.

His mother also was a senior officer of Sudan People’s Liberation Army and died in a car accident in 1993. Wani was left under the care of his young uncle who also was a soldier. Unfortunately, he was killed by one of his brothers who was also an officer in the army. Wani was left without guidance and was brought to the orphanage.
