You can then choose to adopt any of these projects as a community
or as an individual.
A
priority at Lahash is partnering communities in relational compassion
and care. We partner families, communities, schools, youth groups,
and churches with the teams in East Africa. We have videos, photos,
and group activities to alert your community of the opportunities
and needs, and allow them to plug in with creative, compassionate,
and practical assistance. Email Lahash at info@lahash.net for
more information on how you can plug in.

What
happens to your donation?
Lahash is
committed to financial integrity and accountability. We aim to
provide a seamless experience where donors and East African communities
interact in a relational manner. Lahash uses 5% of your donation
for administration costs in our U.S. office, with the remaining
amount going to East Africa to directly impact the lives of the
vulnerable.
You
can also donate clothing, school materials, shoes, and other
gifts by mailing them directly to East Africa or by sending them
to the Lahash office where they will be carried in person on
a upcoming trip.

All financial contributions will be distributed at the discretion
of Lahash
International's officers and directors for expenses which further
our exempt purposes.
4. Volunteer
(Current Openings) We are just embarking on the initial
steps of creating this organization. We have lots of ideas,
and lots of needs at the moment. If you are interested in joining
the Lahash team, please email info@lahash.net.
Also, please note that these are all part-time volunteer positions
at this time - unless you would like to raise your own support.
- Fund
Raising and Partnership Director
Job Description: Using DVD, pictures, and small and large group talks to
tell people of the needs and methods of compassionate assistance. Most likely
will involve monthly travel.
- Email
Secretary
Job Description: Responding to emails that come into the Lahash inbox. Either
responding to them or forwarding the emails to the respective individuals.
- Volunteer
and Trip Coordinator
Job Description: Lahash receives numerous requests for information on partnership,
volunteering, and opportunities for travel to East Africa. This position
would be responding to those inquiries and networking with East African teams
to ensure success
4. Prayer
We
believe that our our lives are the creation and property of the
Creator and that prayer is essential for life. We ask that you
pray with us for each of these concerns:
- Peace,
unity, and hope for East Africa. Please pray specifically
for the fragmented Sudan with ongoing conflicts in Darfur,
and a fragile peace agreement in the South. Also remember
to pray for the end of the rebel activity in Northern Uganda
under the influence of LRA leader Joseph Kony. And pray that
racism, tribalism, and hatred will diminish in the region
- and that hope, forgiveness, grace, and peace will spread
over the land.
- Strength
and encouragement for the East Africa team. The
women and men of the East African teams travel on dangerous
roads, are exposed to serious illnesses, work long hours,
and make huge sacrifices for the desperate. Pray that they
will be encouraged today and will have renewed strength to
spread hope and life.
- Hope
for the Orphans. There are millions of African orphans
who have little prospect for hope in life. Pray for them
and especially for the orphans of the Amazing Grace Orphanage,
St. Bartholomew Orphanage, the orphans in the Kenyan slums
of Kibera and Silas, the orphans of Dodoma Tanzania, and
the orphans in Kigali Rwanda.
- Wisdom,
Compassion, Humility, and Integrity for the Lahash team. We
realize that these projects are life giving and these faces
priceless. And we realize that your involvement and contributions
are valuable as well. We ask for prayer that we will move
forward with spirits of humility.
